I use a small amount on the balls only. Did I forget to pack a Diff Break-in Procedure sheet with your order? If I did I am sorry.
I can email you one if needed. Let me know.

Thanks Fred for the excellent products.
Way to go!! Congratulations on the fine racing!

"..after months of running" Good job on the diff maintenence

I just feel why waste the lube, the extra will most likely never come in
contact with the balls. More stuff for dirt to cling to also.

I just picked up a used ZX5 it was the perfect time to try out the B-Fast gear. As it came, the diffs were in really rough shape and clearly needed a rebuild. Followed the instructions (for once) and I have to say this is the best diff I've built.

Thanks Fred.

Keep them clean and lubed and they will stay that way for quite a while.
Plus the B-FAST rings can be flipped when the time comes for a fresh start.

I know it's been mentioned, but I'll ask again. How often should you rebuild the diff? Currently my T4 gets run at practice on Wednesday nights, then races 3 qualifiers and 1-2 mains on the weekend. The truck is rarely "dirty" when it comes off the track. How often in those conditions should I tear it apart to maximize it's life?

I have 2 T4's and a spare FT transmission, maybe I should just build the spare up with you the B-FAST kit then I'd could just do transmission swaps every so often.

Check the diff by turning the outdrives with your fingers, if you turn the tires to test they insulate how the diff really feels. A diff that feels smooth "thru" the tires may not feel so good directly at the outdrives.
When the diff feels the least bit gritty, clean and relube. You can't clean and lube too often! Many times the thrust bearing will need attention before the diff itself. Scott Olenik (team Driver) removes the screw and thrust assembly from his T4 transmission while it is still in the truck. Cleans, re-lubes and re-installs in a matter of minutes.

Having a back-up trans is a great thing to have.

Due to a sales spurt, a yet to arrive, late stock rings order and that we will be out of town until early next week all customers have been notified via their Paypal email address that the orders will not ship until next week.
I am sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

Thank you
Fred
