I tried no preload clips on front and I ended up losing a bottom spring retainer...was this a "fluke" thing or what can I do to prevent it?
rm25x....how do you like your setup?....I have a very similar track as well, but I have some high jumps too.
I was thinking about putting on the stock E-Maxx/T springs....has anyone tried this? Will it work?

i ordered a set of 17mm adapters from integy off of fleabay, just to have some cheap tire choices when bashing.i may post some set-ups after i actually get my slash...

I was running at OCRC and people were running stock and clearing a big double with ease that most slashes like mine were not. The track did not have a lot of room to get speed either. Anyone know what gearing they might have?

dont know about the gearing thing, but my integy adapters would have been good for truggy tires(i think thats what they are meant for).way too much offset.i had the new era ones as well, but they are a little narrower and barely have enough threads for my buggy rims.oh well.btw one of my adapters was machined incorrectly,so i couldnt use them anyway.

The trick is in how you approach the jump. You don't want to go full throttle to the jump...you'll just spin your tires and leave the face of the jump all crooked...then yer in trouble. ROLL the throttle to the jump (VERY important) and when you get to the bottom of it, you should be close to 3/4 throttle. At that point you can roll up to full throttle and clear it no problem.
Again, mine is BONE STOCK and I'm clearing that jump at 3/4 throttle.

I run my Slash with a Li-Po .
The lighter weight helps it Slash clear jumps easier...

I don't know if I'd call it overkill, but I will say it's probably not necessary. I've been racing my Slash for about 8 weeks, twice a week and sometimes three race nights. I've had a few after-race encounters of demolition derby with the other drivers as well.. and to date the only part I've needed to replace is spur gears.
Not being overpowered certainly factors in, but the Slash is easily the most durable RC I've ever known.

Whats a good way to get these hooked up on a dry dusty track surface with the stock tires?
