Since any of the factory drivers use their real name, and do so with the permission of the team they drive for, and thereby give some reason to trust them by either stating their expertise or letting their name do the talking --- I feel no reason to trust asking you anything more technical than "What should I eat at the track, burger or dog?"

Ok guys, sorry that I havent been on here in a couple days and for not properly introducing myself. Although I want my true name to remain anonymous, racing is my life and have a very busy schedule. Since there isnt anyone from Losi on this forum offering help to anyone I have decided to. Anything I can do to help anyone out I will. So please ask about anything rc related and Ill do my best to answer in a timely manner.
No offense, but with all the "keyboard racers" out there it's hard to take a new member who proclaims himself the "losi expert" and doesn't give his real name seriously. You might know alot, but you also might be a 12 year old kid trying to get some attention on here.

Ok - I'll test the waters.
I'm fairly new and have the XXX-T CR w/BL and LiPo. I've talked to a few people that identified the weight difference between NiMh and LiPo batteries as a potential problem. Some have suggested adding weights around the mid-section to compensate. There is even somebody selling a LiPo plate to sit in the battery holder and essentially bring the car to its normal NiMh weight.
Now to the meat of my question. Is it more advantages to put weight at the extremities of the car (front and/or rear)? I can imagine weight around the center of gravity resulting in greater weight shift during accelleration/braking - which would suggest it may be better to have weight at the COG - but I can also see the weight shift as being too extreme. Putting weights closer to the extremities might provide more static down force and possibly provide more consistant weight distribution during accelleration/braking.
What are your thoughts?
