I know my local hobbyshop received 3 of them yesterday morning and they're already gone.

Hey all - The X Factory team has spent most of today traveling back from the Clash; all of us had an awesome time at the race and I'd suggest you check it out next year if you get the chance. Jason puts on a great event with a really great racing atmosphere. Thanks for everyone's support while we were at the race, I think we put in some great results!

Kinwald was running a 3800 Lipo in his truck, the same battery he qualified on all weekend. He estimated he'd make it based on racing at Competition Hobbies the at the SIGP, where he used a 5400 Lipo for the 15 minute main and had plenty of capacity left over. Dirt drove very conservatively during the race to try and make it last but it wasn't quite enough. I also dumped about 12.5 minutes into the main while running in 4th place ; I had an SMC 5000 battery in my truck. It was a tough decision before the main on what battery to run. Adding a second pack in parallel would assure making run time but at the expense of handling. I've run about 20 minutes in my truck with a 4000 Lipo and a 10.5 turn motor, so I guessed the 5000/6.5R combo would be able to go 15 minutes, but oh well. I'm still very happy with how my truck ran all weekend; I know with just more capacity I could have put in a very good result. Live and learn I guess.

We'll have an update on the availability of kits probably by Wednesday if not tomorrow. As mentioned earlier in the thread we sent out all the kits we could (limited by the number of shocktowers we had) before the Clash, and hopefully more parts are waiting for Chazz in Toledo so we can finish the initial orders and get the kits and parts up on the website for all to see.

Hi Guys,

I was lucky enough to buy the last X-60 Chazz had at the Clash and figured I'd let everyone know what I thought of the truck. First, let me say, I'm not sponsored by X-Factory or anyone else for that matter.

After I bought the kit I didn't have any intentions of running it since I was pretty comfortable with my T4 and didn't want to have to worry about figuring out the X-60 setup. Practice got canceled early Friday due to rain and after a little prodding from Paul & Chazz I decided to head back to the hotel and convert my T4.

The one thing I notice when I opened the box was the molded parts were absolutely perfect. In the past, when I built my X-6, some of the molded parts needed some hand fitting/filing to clean them up. Not so on the X-60. The parts fit & finish is top notch. Since the left and right rear arms are same it means less spares to carry around, which is nice. It took about 2 hours to convert my fully assembled T4 into an X-60. Everything went smooth and was straight forward. For a setup, I used the same one that I used on my T4. I figured I'd start with that and adjust from there.

The track was really slick for the 1st round of qualifying. The previous days rain and lack of sun had everyone searching for traction on the damp track. The truck felt good despite the lack of traction. It jumped well, turned in/exited corners well. The one thing that I was really surprised about though was how well it went into corners without spinning out. The back end of my T4 would wash out if you entered a turn too fast. Not the case with the X-60. I don't remember what I ended up finishing in the 1st qualifier... maybe third.

For the second qualifier I added some lead in the 2 center front & rear battery slots and switched to blue Barcodes in back. The added weight and new rear tires made the truck perfect. Again, I was impressed how planted the back end of the truck was. If I pushed it I could get it to kick out, but it was much more controllable than my T4. I ended up finishing first for this qual.

For the third qual it was pretty much the same as the second. I didn't change anything on the truck. By this time the traction had come up quite a bit and the truck still felt great. I again finished first in this qual.

I ended up qualifying 9th for the main. That's pretty good for a new truck which I had zero practice with. At my local track I usually make the A, so I was happy with my starting position. I ended up finishing 10 or 11th due to popping a ballcup twice. I know... excuses excuses

Overall I'm really happy with the truck. X-Factory really stepped it up a notch with the X-60. I can't wait to run it at my local track to see how much better I do with it compared to my T4

It will be available on X-Factoryrc.com won't it?

I have my shopping cart full with an X-6 conversion and parts and it would be nice to add an X-60 to that aswell.

Very soon, we hope this week to have the remaining carbon bits then everything will go online.

On the subject of the plastics, I have been running the protos and production versions for some time and have not had a single failure. I break more ballstuds and AE bits now than anything else.

Slighty biased opinion
