Default Speed Passion Wireless Power

It looks like Speed Passion is developing a product that could turn electric rc racing/driving on its head. Their Wireless Power apparently transmits electrical power from a larger source to a small converter onboard that powers the car, thus eliminating batteries and chargers. This means nitro is no longer the only way to go for long mains/run times. This is awesome!!!

Good thing for www.ghostmyip.com. Speed Passion kindly blocked my IP for just letting people know the truth in the Speed Passion Brushless Thread in the on-road section . Good thing Hobbywing is letting everyone know who actually makes the controllers. This wireless thing is basically a way to drive attention to them. I hope they can prove me wrong.

Better re-read the info on the website. It does not say it eliminates the batteries; it says batteries no longer need to be "the battery of the week". Quality is no longer an issue. The picture of the control unit has a hole for the batt positive and negative and looks like a lipo would work. It has a fan indicating there is heat involved (an old issue). There appears to be an antennae so that is all we know now. It says more to come and look for it in 2009 (probably release year).

I don't see any wire to plug into the receiver, so maybe that is the wireless part.

Send a message via AIM to Creature

I heard that they're also looking into the practical use for Flux Capacitors!

Must be used in conjunction with the NEW GT ESC Version 1.1 that has "build in USB software upgrade feature"

So when it discharges you can send it back to Florida to get a re-charge!
Just like the Version 1.1 speedo with USB upgrade I bought, brakes suck bigtime, no prob, I can just USB it right? OH NO, no port or way to connect and you can't adjust that fix with the control box, you have to send it back and we will do it for you.
Great, I use it weekly and live in Seattle, bag 2 weeks of racing and hope the brakes will be set to where I want them or send it back again!

I won't believe it even IF I see it!
