XXX-T CR w/13.5BL FDR???

What would be a good race FDR for the Losi XXX-T CR with a XCelorin 13.5BL motor? The documentation recommends 8.8, but the truck feels sluggish and I think 8.8 is a bit high. I'm fairly sure the diff is not slipping and the slipper is tightened all the way.
