If you are going to do 3S setup, the 1512 1.5D or the 2D appear to be great motors to use on 3S. I would recommend though going with an 8000mah battery if you are doing a 3S setup as that appears to work best.

You want a Mamba Max... in place of the Phoenix85.

Without knowing what you are doing, you may not even get the Phoenix to work at with a car radio. And if you do, you will need to run mechanical brakes.

Besides, ask Castle.... it's not built to take car abuse either.

No... it's what most of us have been using. It's been an incredible little controller, better than many @3-4x the price.

It's not indestructible, but it's proven tougher than most.

phoenix 85HV will run in car, but no reverse. I would go with mamba max instead.

if staying 4s or less, try the hobbywing 80 amp 1/8 controller.it is big, which should help it last.you dont need a seperate bec for it.you will with the mamba max for sure.the hobby wing is only like 80 bucks on ebay or maybe rc-monster.this is the beauty of conversions, there are so many choices it'll make your head swim...
