This says it all. Hey My Castle stuff works great for me (not ROAR approved though as it might matter to some), LRP for some other guys and is what I would use if I ran sensored systems, Novak, SpeedPassion, Nosram, Tekin, and a few more I forgot are all good in different ways.

if you want to race stock off road then get a 17.5 gtb brushless system or mod then go with the 8.5 motor and esc combo.

I like the LRP speedo with a Novak motor combo.
The LRP speed controls are extremely user friendly to program and the Novak motors have really easy solder tabs. All the name brands are good quality, but those features are nice.

the only down fall on the mamba is that there is no sernsor on them and the lrp and novak is a good combo b/c the sphere is alot smaller than the gtb.

The best Ive used by far is Team Tekin. If your going to run mod off-road you cant go wrong with the sensorless system. If your wanting to run stock or touring you will need to wait a few more weeks for the sensored system. I run mod 4wd and it is by far the smoothest speed control i have ever used. Just my .02
