Default Traxxas E-Revo!! Finally!

http://www.traxxas.com/products/promo/5605_promo.htm

Check it out. Looks pretty decent. And about time. The emaxx was getting long in the tooth. Now if they would just sell a roller so I dont have to pay for the EVX and Titans I dont want.

So, dreams do come true...

Only thing missing is BL. If it was BL I would have to go to the bathroom to clean up. I am still gonna buy one.

About freaking time.

Well... I guess I am going to put the truggy conversion on hold. For the life of me, why are they wasting folks time putting those titan motors in there? Just sell us the roller. The people that want that truck are going to rip those Titans out on the first day...

Ready made E-revo, MMM... it is going to be one fun summer.

It's a really nice chassis but is it made out of plastic?

So I am thinking about buying a Neu 1512 2.5d (2050kv) for my rc8 to replace my 1.5d which I love because I am finding the motor to be too high strung and I figure this motor won't tax the ESC as much either. Are any of you running the 2.5d motor and how is the performance?

My concern is I have a bunch of 4s lipos and I am afraid that if I gear the motor up to run about 45 mph on 4s lipo, I am going to overheat the motor and have the same heat issues with my 1.5d. I would have to run about 18/46 in my RC8. In other words, I want the motor, but I really don't want to drop another couple hundred to get some 5s lipo packs either.

Thanks.

People should learn that today plastic are not like 1980 plastic.
Even if the gray color may make it look like a tupperware.
Most high quality plastic are composite can take a good beating. Most traxxas car are considered as bashers car for a good reason.

Funny,

I was just about to buy a converted revo online and now I see this.

With the RC Pro series rules, this could be my vehicle now instead of my T4.

A big thing I am liking and I am very curious how ROARs stance would be on this is the fact that the battery is in a sealed battery box, similar to how lipo receiver packs are done.

one of the main arguments that ROAR made why receiver packs don't have to be in a case is that they are in a sealed box. Well, these batteries are in a sealed box, so, shouldn't need to have a hard cased, which, with Maxamps appearing to be in good with traxxas, could work out quite well!

Understable but with today's higher voltage brushless setups plastic should not be a material of choice in a chassis. If they developed a 'metal' chassis for the nitro version i would not expect anything less from a brushless.

The truck is still a beauty though.

Metal chassis is primary to help cooling of nitro motor

From the way I understand the RC Pro rules this wouldnt meet them. They require a 2 speed transmision in the rules.

Looks pretty cool. Tranny is a little bit goofy, but it should work. Might pick up one if they make a kit
