Default rc-10

I'm new to the whole RC car thing, and I'm having a problem with my car. I think it's the ESC but I'm not sure.

-It has a red and a green light on it, and they are blinking back and forth.

-Every once in a while it will seem like it wants to go, then it just stops.

-The steering works great, just no throttle.

Any help would be much appreciated... Thanks in advance.

Which ESC is it? I would say read the manual that came with it to figure out what the bliking lights are telling you.

Welcome to our world here on RcTech.

We need a whole lot more info to help diagnose your problem. The make and model of the speed control. It should be on the ESC. Also need the make and model of the radio. What type of motor might be some good info also.

The fact it works sometimes could be the brushes or brush springs need to be replaced or at least cleaned with motor spray so they will move freely.

Give us some more info.

The ESC is a Msonik RV15. I tried to find info on it but couldn't find it.

The RX is a Hitec HP-2rnb. TX is Hitec Sport Lynx.

The motor is brushed but can't read the name without taking it out.

The battery is a 7cell nimh.

I tried the throttle hooked up to the steering section of the RX(on accident) and the motor went crazy spinning. Then I hooked it up correctly and nothing. So I tried I different Futaba RX that I know works correctly and it all did the same exact thing. So confused...

Sounds like your speed control settings have changed and you need to go through the setup procedure again.

Your speed control should look like this....

If it does then here is the instruction sheet for it. It is in PDF format.

The companies website is http://www.mtronks.net if you want to ask them questions.
