Default want my new rc10t4 to go faster

I just got into rc car racing and bought a brand new team associate rc10t4. Its sitting at my desk right now with an old stock vampire electric engine, a venom 7.5 volt battery, and a tazor two way speed control in it(pretty much i just wanted to get the thing moving seeing how i built the entire thing with a broken wrist, I just wanted to see it move).

Question 1) I was looking at modified engines and wanted to get a trinity speed gem 15t but was unsure on how the turns on the engine work. I know that the turn of an engine is the wire wrapped around the magnet but i want to know if a 15t is faster than a 13t or vise versa.

Question 2)If i were to get a modified would i need to get a better speed control, if so what speed control would i get for a 15 turn?

Any other tips on how to get my car to fly over my pool would be greatly appreciated, thanks

The 13 is faster than the 15.

If you jump your pool, post a vid.

This can only be a good thing.

Don't get the 13 turn or you'll blow up your speed controller, it can only handle up to a 15 turn, and putting a hot 15 turn in (speed gem shouldn't be too bad) could overheat it.

The turns do refer to how many winds are on the armature, the less winds the faster it will be, so a 27T stock motor is very slow compaired to a 15T mod motor.
In this quest for speed you will end up having to do more maintenace, you will loose alot of run time, and motor rebuilds every couple of runs are necessary with mod motors with brushes.
As suggested get yourself a brushless system. There's nothing to maintain except maybe oiling the bearings so often, and they are more efficient, so runtimes are much better compaired to a brushed motor. Look at www.stormerhobbies.com they sell the Castle creations sidewinder with 5700kv motor (10T mod equivilant) for $129 that will make you grin from ear to ear. I run this in my T4/B4 and can tell you its more than enough power!
