i got mine three weeks ago for 140 at my local hobby shop it charges all batterys out there and has built in balancer and built in power supply and charges bith my lipos and my nimh batts great, in my opinion this is the best charger on the market for the money
I use 2 pulsar 3's they are more then this one but if i were to do it over again i would get this hyperion one. I got pulsar3's cause i had pulsar's and loved them and wasn't fully brushless/lipo yet so i needed th motor functions and nimh discharge functions.
You do not need brushless to run lipo.... you do have to pay attention to not running the battery down to low cause it will damage it, this is why you need a cut off or to pay attention to how long you have been running.
