it depends on ur track ur gonna run it. I ran a 19 or 20 pinion on mine. 20 seemed to work real good. If ur undergeared the car will top out about half way down the track, and if ur overgeared it top out at the end of the straight away. U want a gear that is plenty to get u done the straight. Thats something ull need to experiment with. Hope my 2 cents helps.

BuggyKing has got it. For a 6.5in a B44 buy a 19 & a 20 and you should have it covered.

playboy - For a Novak 6.5R with a 4wheel drive buggy you should have a final drive ratio of a 10. That should be a good starting point. I haven't run a B44 so I can't give you the exact gearing. Sorry. I hope this helps you out.

ive got a 5.5 in mine and i gear mine between 16 and 17. at my local track we have alot of qiuck turns and short chutes. i would buy 18-20 tooth and test them.

The B44 manual actually has recommended gearing. For the 6.5 a 19/84 and the 5.5 18/84. I have the 6.5 and using the 19/84, works VERY well in my local track. blindingly fast....
