Castle Creations Sidewinder 5700... Whats it classified as?
 
Hey guys what is the Castle Creations Sidewinder 5700 Classified as? Like 8.5? 6.5? Or what?

As far as I know it is like a 7.5 novak. I could be wrong...

It is 100kv less than a 7.5. Novak is rating the 7.5 at 5800kv so the Mamba is 5700kv.

But you have to also understand that the MM motors are a different animal than other motors. It's like a big block vs. small block... so the kv of the 5700 is like a 7.5, but it has a lot more torque... can be geared taller... and still pulls harder.

It runs more like a 5.5 than a 7.5:nod:

The Novak 8.5 is rated at 5800, thats why they called the old system the SS 5800, because it came with an 8.5.

In brushed term, I thought my 5700 felt like a strong 11 turn, I even geared it the same in my 4wd, it felt the same power wise but without all the heat and the messed up comm that comes with a brushed motor. I thought my 4600kv felt like my 13 turn brushed motor, except much more consistant and effecient.

I just recently bought this system and wow is it way different then a 19 money motor.
I love this system and its really affordable thats all i know.
