Has anyone bought, run or tested this "special" edition buggy yet?
Everyone has a B4 or losi, and I'm wondering if its even worth looking at...
1. Would it keep up box stock with a FT B4 given same equipment?
2. I like the cheaper price...but is it durable?

It's not a racer, more a fun buggy really. Sure you can race it if you want but it's not going to be a patch on a B4.

They made a nice 4wd car so no reason to think that maybe down the road here in a few more months they will make a more raceable 2wd buggy. The MS version is one nice looking car with a few hopups. Thought of buying one just to have as I like Tamiya stuff.

It's a better deal than the regular DT-02, but if you like to race, you will have much more fun starting with a better buggy (B4, XXX-CR, RB5, GV2).

I had the regular DT-02 with TRF501x dampers and the ball differential hop-up for it. As these guys stated, you're putting yourself at a severe disadvantage if you're racing it against B4s/XXXs/RB5s. Considering the DT-02MS goes for about $170-$180, pass on it and get a B4 Team kit for the same price.
