Another lipo question

I am going to make the switch to lipo for the off road season. My question is will i have any run time issues running an orion 3200 lipo with a 6.5 or 5.5 in 2wd mod for 6 min and the same motor and battery combo in 4wd.

Thanks for your help.

LOL... heck no. :D

You might use up 2000-2500 in 4wd in a 6 min run with extra laps etc... maybe. But normally it's not even that bad.

In 2wd you probably could do two heats on a charge.

In practice with the wheeler 6.5 i run about 5 min and pull off just to be safe and in 2wd 13.5 i run like 15 to 20 min! have some fun lipo's & brushless rock!

Never going back to nihm's or brushed motor's again!:ha::ha:

Yes lipo is awesome. I raced a couple of weeks ago in a big race and was surprised at the runtime. I have an orion 3600 in my xxx4 with a novak 4.5r brushless system and ran the 2nd and 3rd legs of the triple A main without re-peaking. The mains were 6 minutes long, and I still had run time left even with a couple of practice laps before the races. It was my first event using lipo, and it was great only having to run one pack all weekend without discharging and traying it.

i have a couple different lipos and i get plenty of runtime. easily can do 2 heats with the trakpower 4900 or maxamps 5000mah. i run a XXX4 with 5.5 Brushless. i actually was getting close to 15minutes with EP and IB 4600 nimh packs. just make sure to balance the lipos when you charge them. good luck to you.

Yep, I have been getting the same results.
I am running the 4900mah Trakpowers, after a 6min. heat in both Mod Truck(6.5) and 4wd (6.5) It takes about 3500-4000Mah to recharge.
