ok this isnt really stupid but i have 3 questions on these following batteries

IB 4200 WC Assembled 6 Cell Pack

1. WHICH DO YOU RECOMEND?
2. (dum question #1) WHAT IS THE MAH FOR THESE BATTERIES? 4200MAH AND 4600MAH?
3. (the second dum question) WHATS THE VOLTAGE ON THESE BATTERIES? 7.2V?

Yeah order those with the tamiya connector and you'll be straight! That happens. Get the bigger guage wire for your ESC and you should be fine Most people use and recommend deans which you should prolly convert to because those cant melt like that tamiya connector

i know how it happened.....
My esc connector metal piece was out of place and fell out (the part you see was bent, that internal metal thingy)
it fell out and was sooo hot so it melted together.

i had the same problem with my battery connectors i went to the deans plugs and they are amazing. you will have no regret. also make sure your speed control can handle that motor the resistance may be making the connector hot too

oh, im as basic as it gets I got the xxx-t sport rtr II and the motor and esc obviously work good together cause thats how they're assebled from losi

oo well i hope you figure this all out and all 6 cell packs are 7.2 volt each cell is 1.2 volt so just add up the cells and figure it out..

Get rid of the Tamiya connectors and get the Deans. The Tamiya ones were not really meant for that type of current flow hence why they melted.

i agree about the tamiya connectors, they are junk. if they heat up they will melt. stick to deans connectors. as far as batteries, both are good the higher mah will increase your runtime slightly. i have some very cheap stick packs on sale, IB SC 4200'S HIGH DRAIN STICK PACKS. CHECK ON MY SITE AND THERE ARE LOTS OF OTHER THINGS ON THERE. PM me if you need help

if it was me i would get matched cells but for someone who does not race and just wants to have fun, then i would get a couple of cheaper batteries. all depends on what you want to do with RC.
