Kewl Vid!

That tripple jump with the regular 10th scale buggy really showed the advantage the J82 has!

And then again on the triple when you cleared those two Trucks!

been thinking about the kit for a few. Just depends on the electric turnout at the big/outdoor tracks around here. Everyones prolly running mod truck and wouldn't be happy w/ a converted t4 spankin up on them... lol. I've always hated & struggled the way my truck drove compared to my b4. drivability of the truck...I never understood that comment.

It really is a great combination of the two vehicle types, and I can assure you that it runs QUICK lap times.

The only way things will change is if you go out there and spank them, haha. People really start to catch on once they see it in person. I think the drivability of a truck comes from its prowess through the bumps, and great foward traction when the track is good.

..stretching for it a little IMO. LOL.

My local indoor track has closed for the summer , the main outdoor track will get some electric spill over but last year they only had an 'electric' class (previously was a smoker track, but was rebuilt more electric friendly and it is huge). j82 would have been prefect last year. First race on the new layout is next week. I'll be able to see what it out there and if we'll have actual classes beside an 'electric' class! lol. If I can get away w/ racing a j82 in the truck class I will. Just the smaller/lighter fronts and body/wing have to help the handling tremdously.

Question if you swap it back to t4 mode would you swap out the camber link/special clearance ball cups also? ..or can you keep them on and just swap wheels? I'm guessing the ball to ball length is approx the same (stock vs j82 kits)? Would the camber gain through the suspension travel be different from stock vs j82?

I still think that the person running the J82 at the Cactus Classic in practice shouldve been charged for track time..

Its still up in the air for me IMHO... I can't watch youtube at work and saw a demo at the JBRL race out at Pegasus. The part where it was doing wheelies and stuff down the straight really didn't show me anything more than being a truck with skinny, high profile front tires and truck rears with a CG that is shifted rear.. So I guess reiterating in another sense, a bigger 2wd buggy.

I guess this was the intent of the designer, but it seems like when I was last racing, ppl wanted to do slap a truck conversion on the original RC10CE and team car. About 15 years later, its come back almost full circle to ppl wanting to slap a conversion kit to convert their trucks to bigger buggies.

i'm really trying not to hate on the car (and i'll need some convincing i suppose), but just going on what I saw in the demo and seeing the pics on the thread, i really don't see too much more than a bigger 2wd buggy. I'll look at the youtube vids later, but i'm not expecting the dynamics of the car to differ than that of a 2WD buggy...

If it makes my t4 handle like my b4 I'm sold....just waiting on tax refund. Just not sure if the local racers will care when I'm smoke'n there truck bodied t4s.... the track i just started going to runs 2wd electric (buggies and truck together) so I can't see how they can complain... but they prolly will.

Basically I find buggys much more attractive to race than trucks. The problem though is almost all the outdoor tracks have turned into 1/8th tracks; big, rough, and big jumps. So now with the J82 I can race electric buggy on my local outdoor tracks without to much effort

I like this idea. I was out of the hobby for some 18 years or so and I just picked up a b4 buggy as that's what I used to race. (Losi JRX2) The track I'm on is rough and although I can drive O.K. (no skills now lol) the little buggy gets thrown around a bit due to nitro ruts!

I guess I should've got a t4!!! If I don't have enough funds to do a 1/8 brushless conversion, this may be a good alternative. (Don't like trucks.)
