What are the chances of this kit being made available to Losi owners?
I would love to use this, as my local track gets badly torn up by truggies.
But I don't want to have to switch makes to do it.

also, tire options? are there some?

thanks
Stu

i say goodluck to all running it in the 8th scale buggy class. contact is gonna cause breakage. were gonna run it in a mod 2 wd class at our track with the trucks, and 19t with the trucks if necessary being that it is a t4 with narrow front wheels and a buggy body. just practicing with a 10th scale at the same time as the 8 scales out there is usually asking for it but let us know how it goes for all you that want to run it with the big cars.....

Sooo...I'd basically be spending $80 on a $25 body and a set of $20 front tires for a class that not only doesn't exist but doesn't seem to have much of a reason to exist other than so buggy purists can stay away from icky trucks because buggies are "better"?

Seriously, I'm not understanding the idea. If you want rough track handing, you got a truck. If you want precision control, you got a buggy. Simple as that.

I think everyone just wants to run them on the 1/8th scale tracks not in the 1/8th scale class.

Nice Work JConcepts!

This thing looks Kewl as Heck!!!

When I first saw the conversion I was thinking it included a longer chassis to.

Can I ask why you need the 2 Factory Blue Titanium Turnbuckles, 1.775" for? As well as the ball cups? Also is the wing included in the kit?

Another thing the statement about racing in 2 classes with the same truck/buggy. It seems that the J82 would not fit legally in either class?

This maybe the reason I end up keeping my T4

Yes, the rear wheels accept normal 2.2 truck tires.

I dont think we will offer a Losi kit for some time, if ever. The offset of the rear wheels creates a problem which would require an extensive kit. We will be offering more front tires in the future, and the rears are univeral.

Well thats a shame, hopefully it will grow in popularity and that will show him the light, haha.

Its not meant to run in the 1/8th buggy class. Its meant to allow your T4 a dual purpose as a truck and as a buggy which can run on 1/8th style tracks.

Thanks! The turnbuckles go with the offset rear ballcups, and yes a wing will be included. In order to run it in Mod truck, you use the truck body and standard truck wheels. For the J82 class, you use the buggy body, wheels, tires, and wing.

We hope you do blow the dust off the old T4, haha.

The $80 is:

J82 body
1/10th Scale Ball Cups (black)
Groovy - 1/8th - 2wd front, green (fits 2.2" buggy front wheel)
Double Dee's - green compound (fits 2.2" truck wheel)
Mono - J82 front wheel (white) - 2pc
Mono – J82 rear wheel (white) - 2pc
Factory Blue Titanium Turnbuckle, 1.775"

This allows you to race electric buggy at any track. I understand that not everyone is going to like it, but try it before you bash it.

This is the size 1/10th buggies should have been from the start. I've run my B4 on outdoor tracks around here and it just gets mauled by the holes in the flat sections and on the jumps. My T4 on the other hand is actually easier to drive than my 8th buggy, god I love the way that thing handles, lol. I like buggies better than trucks though, so I might just pick one of these up for fun. I like the fact you can switch it back to a normal truck in no time at all. Plus I'll be able to try out the new double dees tires. Props to JC!

Buggies are cool!

Plus we need a 1/8th scale T4, hehe.

I think this is a GREAT idea!

I've been thinking about doing an 8th scale buggy conversion to Lipo. Seem there would have been some hurdles to overcome. This is an excellent way to get the ball rolling.

Just like when you use the JConcepts rod ends on the Rear Upper Link of a buggy, you use a shorter ti-rod due to the longer design of the rear outer camber rod end.
