So nobody is signed up for the JConcepts Wave out at OC/RC yet, with their J82's...what about it? Turbojoe? Ruf? Who all is planning on going? They said it's a 20 minute main! I don't want to sign up and be told there's no J82 class the day of the race due to lack of signups though...

I still run it and I've been running it...but alas, I work on Saturdays. The earliest I could be out there would be 3-4pm and that would be letting out early and breaking a few vehicle codes...LOL
I really like that car. It's totally my "go to" car. It works well everywhere. I just throw it down and it's in the hunt.
I really wish more people would drive them...it's such a bummer that I actually have to go back to T4 mode if I want to race in any big events, because I so much prefer the J82's looks and handling. It's a shame it hasn't caught on out here.

So I have been reading I am trying to figure what exactly the kit is but it just doesnt make sense to me I will probably get flamed for this but how. How is this kit any different than just adding buggy wheels and tires to a T4? Is the the taller wheels and tires makes that much of a difference?

Yes, the bigger dia tires and wheels make a BIG difference in handling. It's really hard to explain how well the J82 handles, but once you drive one it becomes very clear how much better it is .

I am very interested in the J82, but why is it hard to explain how well it handles ?
Is it more stable, less stable, more nimble, jumps better, pivot faster ?
The wheels has bigger diameter ? That alone would get me to try it. Thanks.

Its way more stable, has way more traction, jumps much better than any 10th scale buggy. The wheels are the same dia as 10th truck so you can use any popular 10th truck tires on J82 wheels.

For the record, J82 kit tyres worked great on our indoor well-used-astroturf track! Still only have a basic T4 set up, but not far off my B4 lap times. Need to find some rough stuff to really try the J82 out though!
