So I am just about done with my T$/J82 build and wondered what you guys have found as the best way to hole the body on? Velcro?

Yeah I use velcro on the sides and have never had an issue with it coming off while driving.

At OC/RC they usually put J82's in stock truck, since we all run 17.5 motors...But most of the guys (like the Pegasus guys) are out-of-towners like me, so it's not consistent. I'd definitely love to see a J82 class take off, I feel like it would if more people just picked up a kit and tried it...the thing is so fun to drive, I really prefer it to "truck mode."

Edit: Oh, my...just saw the flyer for the JConcepts Wave in May. Only thing that holds me back from entering is the "no motor limit" thing...not a big fan of that idea.

Default J82 Class

I can't wait.
I have to agree about the no motor limit thing. Just make it 13.5 SS and above. Make it even.any way I'm in.

P.S. have you tried running inline axles??

Good news; we are making the J82 class Super Stock 13.5 for the "JConcepts Wave"

Hrm...now I have to go buy a motor and figure out how I'm gonna practice with it, since the local turnouts for super stock are pretty anemic and they usually end up just running with mod. Dunno...

Bro just buy a second hand 13.5 motor on RC Tech for $40 race the race and then resell the 13.5 motor for $40 after the race. Keep it simple RC racing is for fun!!!

Paul I guess you just can't please everyone even though you try.

Yep...love 'em. My J82 is SUUUUUUUPER-Dialed...it's totally my "go-to" car. I can always get it around the track -- any track. If I could figure out a way to get the rear shocks to go more than one race day without a rebuild, it would be the perfect 2wd car...LOL

Don't sweat it...there are guys that win in SS at OCRC with 17.5 motors. I'm probably going to run 17.5 in mine, so you can use my 13.5.

Easy, put RB5 shocks on it

AE actually had a bad run of shock bodies; check with them to see if that might be an issue.

Naw I'm not complaining, if it's 13.5 it's 13.5 - I was just saying that all the guys that run J82's there right now are running with 17.5 motors, so it's a switch...and I've never run anything BUT stock motors, so that will take some getting used to. Or maybe I'll do like Joe and just run my 17.5 like normal and see what happens.

Still planning on going, though! It'll be a lot of fun to have a race with all J82's instead of running with the trucks like we usually do

I've heard that before. Supposedly, you can tell the good ones from the bad ones by the color (good (US) equals more bronze, bad (TT/Taiwan) equals more silver-ish)

Hmmmm...my fronts never leak...my rears never (don't) leak. I've started storing the car upside down and I just re-fill them before the mains...LOL

What Kyosho combo works? I have a full Kyosho stable...I know there are plenty of guys running RB-5 shocks on B4 cars, but what would you use for the rears?
