Frank Root has been running his J82 in demos at the JBRL electric series races during main setup. That thing is pretty sweet. And he still has the truck shock setup, he hasnt had a chance to play with set ups yet.

man, I liked the J82 so much after I did my t4 I had to try it on another truck so I did an evader ST pro as a J82. Check out the pics.

Looking good guys! This class is so much fun to drive that it should become the standard buggy class...Ha

I've got an old Losi XXT-CR and I've been contemplating a J82 conversion. If I remember correctly the Evader ST is almost the exact design of the XXT trucks. How did you mount the body? Velcro on the side of the chassis and body? Also, were there any modifications needed or did every thing just bolt right up? Thanks.

It took a little doing to do the evader j82. I used kyosho wing mounts from the RB5/ZX5 and had to drill some holes in the rear shock tower to mount them. The body is fastened with velcro, I used a evader BX body since the evader st and BX use the same wheel base/ chassis. The wheels bolt right up in the rear, the fronts I had to use some B4/t4 wheel bearings to run the Jconcepts front wheels, and I used an el cheapo 2.00 associated 7" wing. The evader j82 is a rough track machine!!My t4 j82 handles rough tracks pretty well, but the evader j82 just blows through the rough stuff without ever getting out of shape.

I dont know on the lrp, I would say you will probally have to ditch the fan. I know I dont have room for the fan on my novak.

The XXT and XXXT use the same front wheel bearing as the T4(3/16x3/8), so I won't have to modify anything there. I use XX-4 wing mounts on my XX buggies, so I can probably use a set on the XXT. I guess I'll just have to get creative when I mount the body. Thanks for the info!! I'm going to order the kit sometime next week.

A Losi based J82 conversion will be much wider than an Associated based version. The XXXT uses wheels with alot of inboard offset and is the same width as a T4 with wheels that are offset outboard. If you put the J82 wheels on a XXXT it will probably still be as wide as the truck was.

If you use the XXXT-CR VLA (Variable Length Adjustment) arms with the spindle/knuckle assembly mounted in-board, then you might be able to have a front width that's pretty close to a T4/J82. Just a thought.

Hey PW. Could you please post the setup you were running in the video? The track surface looks alot like the one I run on. Also have you run the harder front tires yet? Thanks.
