I use a 40w Weller and have since i was 11 years old. I have never built a pack nearly as bad as that.

Yep, you sure can, and they look just as bad as your battery soldering skills. Go ahead and post up a pic of that brushless motor you soldered up when you decided to shorten the wires to get rid all of that extra length.

LOL I was going to suggest seeing a picture. If one can properly tin a wire, sticking a buss bar to a battery shouldn't be all that hard.

I'm picturing a wire with solder going up into the insulation about a half inch and where the wires connect to the motor there is a huge glob of solder along with some burn marks where all the extra dripped off.
But at least it's shiney.
