Like has been said it's a flat pressed main chassis with machined sides screwed on. The car is I guess you'd say pre-production but it should remain looking like this - only made from the proper materials

Serpent have done a nice job on it I have to say.

wonder if a lipo saddle can squeeze in there.
I believe the new TrakPower 4800mAh LiPo saddle pack (hard case) can fit in with no problem.

Basically that is what the powered metal process is. A mixture of powered metals that are formed in a mold at high pressure and then the part is heated to a high temp to fuse the powdered metals together. Seen it on "how its made" on the science channel.

I meant from plastic. It is my understanding now that it is still possible that it will come in plastic though.

It looks like the Trakpower is too tall to fit. The buggy, however, looks alot like a durango to me anyway.

It will 100% come with a pressed metal chassis and machined alu sides.

I am most concern on the strengh of the front upper gear box cover which is holding the suspension shocks. The "very thick" front shock tower is holding by the black ABS/nylon upper piece on the front part of the chasis.

Please not a repeat of the S400TC alum upper gearbox (front/rear) breaking like nuts under impact....

All I have to say that it was exciting to watch Jorn Neumann pilot his Serpent at this years Cactus Classic. Looks like a very competitive car.

I met Paul from serpent a few weeks ago. He said the car was pretty much ready and that they were only waiting for the manuals and packaging. He couldnt give me a time frame but said it wouldnt be long.

I cant wait to try it out.
