In my opinion, the Li-Pro 4500 works just as well as my matched 4200Ni-MH packs and it comes with built-in cut-off circuitry so you don't need to change your ESC or add a cut-off device. I think it's one of the best, if not the best value for getting into lipo.

I bought 2 of them and on any decent hit they cut off ... Alot of ppl had this issiue with the newest one.. No harm here though i bipassed the cut off and they work fine now

I have one and compared to the other 2 LiPos I have tried (Orion 3200 & core/racers edge 5000) It is the best one.
Compared to the 5000 pack I tried my trinity maintains a higher voltage with more punch throughout a long run (3500mAh consumed) and at 1/2 the price is certainly a better value.
the Orion 3200 and trinity 4500 felt very close in power with drastically different characteristics and I would say the trinity's edge is purely capacity. With the same gearing I found the Orion to have significantly more punch than the trinity but far less top end. After a gearing change (5.17- orion to 5.55-trinity) they both has similar punch and top end but the trinity took longer for power to fall off. For non-sedan application I would say its a toss up between the 2 but consider the trinity is a few bucks less with more capacity I would go with it. Although I haven't tried the Orion 3600 I would assume Orion's new pack performs better than last years 3200 and is probably the best performer out right now.

Don't expect to see any sort of performance improvement if you are not drawing huge amounts of current, in excess of 100amps.

IMO this is greatly exaggerated, if true, and therefore is hard to accept at all.

This just doesn't make sense. If one pack is better and has more punch (lower voltage drop) then it will also maintain voltage under less severe loads (at top end) so something isn't right. Unless the Trinity had a fresh charge and the Orion didn't... I would suspect the battery was not the source of the difference you saw.
Also the Core 5000 packs are getting great reviews from others... who have reported just the opposite.
Several of my friends just got the Trinity pack and so far it's working well for them. But nobody has seemed to notice any big differences between lipo packs. (we have guys running all three Orions... Core... Trinity... and others...)

The 2 batteries had very different power bands on track and required different gearing, overall the only advantage I found in the trinity over the orion was its higher capacity. I haven't hooked up a datalogger to check voltage drop under load or any other type of bench test but they were certainly difference on track.
The Core/racers edge pack was the biggest shock, with all the buzz about how great they are I expected it to be noticeably better than the rest and not the poor performer I saw. Having tried only one pack I can't say for certain that they suck but locally most of the racers that bought them are switching to Orion 3200 & 3600s and finding them better.
When the Reedy 5000 packs comes out I will be trying one and will hopefully have the chance to checkout a 3600 soon but so far the trinity has been the best of the 3 I tried with the Orion 3200 a very close 2nd.
With so many different cells out there I would suggest everyone get together with a group friends and each buy a different one and compare them as a group. This way if you will know what packs to settle on, 1 will defiantly be better than the rest either to a performance or price advantage.

For comparison with a 10.5 in my sedan a 3200 goes about 6:30 and the 4500 is good for 9min or more.

I think you would be hard pressed to do 20 minutes of real racing with the Trinity 4500 in mod truck. I haven't timed it but it seemed like in practice I got around 15 minutes with my Novak 5800 motor. Personally I run two 5 minute races with my 4500 pack and then recharge. I do have enough left over that I am able to get a 3 or 4 practice laps in before the race starts. Lap times are around 18 seconds.

The reason the Orion 3200 has more punch over the trinity pack is the Orion is a 25c rated pack and the trinity is a 20C rated pack. So yes it makes plenty of sense why the 3200 has more punch.
