Adding weight for Lipos

i run the maxamps 5000 and i added two ounces to the battery strap. this feels good to me. some people where i race add a whole strip to the battery strap which i think is like 3 or 4 ounces. we are also running indoors on very high bite clay so you might need to add more if your running outdoors.

my maxamps 5500 saddle pack was 5oz. lighter than my standard nickel metal pack.i dont like losing that kinda weight off the rear of the car.in this case,it was a saddle pack on my 501x and it added a little on power steering.i went with a slightly different setup to get my off power steering back and now i add no weight to the car.the B4 is going to be a different story.

I added 100 grams to my XXX-T.
The Xray weights are awesome.
You can thread them or servo tape them or shoe goo.
4300 I could control it, but get into the 5.5's and faster I needed the weight.
Couldn't keep the front end on the ground.

heres the Xray weights. Excellent.
Note the 5 gram ones behind the servo.
On the battery strap they are servo taped and tie wrapped.
The 5 gram ones are screwed threw the chassis.
Same on the nose.
100 grams total. Thats 20 on the nose,10 behind the servo and 60 on the battery strap.

which is more dense.. the lipo battery or the weights? high bite = put denser item lower. low bite = put denser item higher. polar moments/inertia can harm or help you depending on the situation.

I added a little more than 28 pieces at 5 gr each...
No weights added to the pack itself....
Have to tell you try this set-up ...
The car transfers weight smoother and has improved stability over jumps ....
Guarantee you after you try , you will never remove the ballast as I have it...
