Default Temperature gauge

I'm a newbie to the electric BL world. I always used a DuraTrax FlashPoint Infrared Temperature Gauge on my nitros. Can the same gauge be used on the electrics and if so what offset (reflective qualifier) do you set it for?
Thanks

yes the temp gun will work for brushless, 140*f seems to me the high safe point for most electrics. Not sure about the "reflective qualifier" is though. I would imagine I would set it to whatever gives the highest temp to be safe?
