I have since realized after buying two of these that I might not even be able to use them with my XXX's. Has anyone done this? I can see where you could shim the chassis brace to gain some height there, but then what would you do to clamp your servo down?

jla - what problem are you having with the plate in your XXXT-CR???
I haven't tried putting my plate in yet, but the only issue I foresee is rx connection to the esc since it runs through the battery tray. I don't want to put the plate over the wire and I'm not sure everything would fit if I did. I'll probably end up re-routing the rx connection.

Well, I haven't actually even received mine yet. But the problem I forsee is with the added space that the plate is going to consume, I wont be able to strap the battery down like usual. Some kind of mod is going to have to be done. I'm thinking in the chassis brace area? It needs to be raised up somehow, but that creates a problem because thats what holds the servo down.
But now I'm contemplating on whether to use them at all? I'm new to offroad, so now I'm learning maybe weight doesn't need to be added for lipos. NOBODY at my track adds weight to bring their cars up to sub-c levels. In fact, the fastest guys at my track shave every ounce they can. Everythings titanium or aluminum with an ounce or two in the nose.

Well, my plates are in the hizzy finally, but theyre a no-go for both of my vehicles. For the XXX buggy with a Trakpower 4900, it wont fit period. The only way to make it fit would be to cut the top of cradle off in the back that holds the battery in place. On the XXX-T CR with a TP 4900, it sort of fits, but the only way to make it work on the truck would be to mount the strap on top of the cradle and then figure out a way to raise the chassis brace and at the same time still hold the servo in place.
