just got a rb5 was wondering what gearing i should run with a novak 6.5 thanks

prolly around a 19 or 20 pinion. Does it have the sintered rotor.

you can gear up a tooth with a sintered rotor so mabye even a 21 pinion.

As per Ben's suggestion I run 22/78 on mine with a 6.5. If you need more on the low end go down 1. The motor will still run cool. I'm pulling wheelies on the straight now with a 22. It depends on your track and where you want the punch.

Yeah, 21-22 with the 78 Spur should be good.

What about with an Orion 6.5? Same or down a tooth since they seem to have slightly less torque and a bit more RPM?
