On the note of getting an esc to run both brushed and brushless the novak gtb and the xbr are capable of running both also. I think there is not turn limit on both, but, I will have to look.

GTB has no turn limit BR (3.5 BL) while XBR is limited to 8.5 turn, not enough for larger pro truck tracks where you want a 5.5 - 7.5 range at least. A GTB and a 27turn stock motor ($30) or BL motor ($80) is not a bad place to hop back in at first.

You can get the low turn BL motor (even a 3.5) and when that's too much power, turn down the EPA in your throttle if you have one of the more modern radios. If you have old AM junk buy a new one like one of the cheap module radios that can later be upgraded to DSM, or the JR XS3 (no module / no DSM upgrade path) or DX2.0 (Spektrum DSM only).

In my previous post, I was mentioning the turn limit on brushed motors. My bad. There is no turn limit for the gtb or xbr for brushed, but brushless as swope states, xbr limit is 8.5 and gtb is none.

Now on the LRP:

According to the above link, the erasers esc combos have reverse.

But according to this:
http://www.rc10.com/lrp/AI_esc.htm

their limits are 8.5 and 12.5 , so the novaks sound better to me. And from what I have seen the novaks are a little cheaper than LRP.
