If you want a durable 4wd look at the Kysoho Zx-5. One of the most durable cars I have ever driven. The B44 looks like a good car as well.

I can't comment on a XX4 because I never owned one and have yet to even see one up close. The XXX4 was made of egg shells and stayed broken all the time. I am not biased and would like to see your XX4 compared to the B44....one huge minus will be belt driven. I can't stand belt drive and will not own another one. Losi will need to go with what wins and copy the shaft driven ones before I will be interested.

I thought it was the driver that won the race. losi just needs to take the jrxs and make a wheeler out of it if you ask me. I dont think you can go wwrong with either really but as of right now the B44 will be a better car for you than the XXX4. Make sure you attach the servo to the mounts before you put them in the car. I had to help somebody attach a servo without taking the mounts off because an allen wrench broke off in one and the other screw was stripped.

XX4- Tranny is not the greatest, super durable car though

XXX4-decent tranny, breaks very easily though, I have one and it is not very good, I would say to stay away from it

B44- very good shaft drive tranny, durable, lots of carbon fiber

You may want to check out the kyosho lazer zx5 and the academy sbv2, from what i have seen they are pretty good too.

The B44 is a really good car but if you are thinking Losi I would go with the
XX4WE.

I would be concerned with parts availability for the XX4 - especially given the fact that it is a re-release. I am betting that as soon as Losi comes out with a replacement for the XXX4 the XX4 parts production will grind to a halt.

There is stuff now that you can no longer get for the XXX4 so my feeling would be that if you are spending that kind of money on a car, go current so you know you won't have parts issues down the road.

The XX4 parts are already being discontiued you will no longer be able to get a chassis from what I heard. The B44 seems nice but I like the simplicity of my V2 and the fact that I can run my lipo sticks. The entire advantage as I see it to saddle packs is to get all that weight over the rear and since I won't be running nimh anymore i see the mid motor as a downfall to the B44.

XX4 parts are going to be very hard to get soon. The molds for this car are all shot from what I have been hearing and they are not going to redo the tooling. It was/is a great car and maybe the best 4wd ever made but I would not get one right now due to parts avaiability. The ZX-5 takes stick/lipo packs as well. The new SP should be out in a couple weeks.

This should be a little better than an estimate.

These guys downfall was with a mid motor buggy!

I don't see a V2 or even a Losi in the top 10, but there was 4 of the limited number of B44s in the main with 3 on top!

Pictures are worth a thousand words!

That's nonsense. Pictures can lie as well if you don't know how they were staged.

By that flawed logic, the "best car in the world" at the last big race...the BJ4...is now in the same league as the Academy and a XXX-4.

I'm glad you like associated, but maybe you should try and read a little better. I said for me since I won't be running NIMH anymore a mid motor is a disadvantage as I see it. For someone running NIMH saddle packs are the only way to go.

Try and read closely before you go getting defensive.

Ha! Way too much to ask.

I too am possibly in the market for a new 4WD and just like you, the B44 and BJ4 WE are NOT on my list because I won't be running NiMH. I'd love to just get a B44 and be done with it but I can't use it. Period.
