Questions?? Whats The Best Brushless System for a T4?

I've always wanted to get away from brushed motors, and stuff.
But I never knew what brushless system to get!
I like Fast Speeds, but I need something controllable, and Not To fast.
What Would Be The System if I also use GP's and EP's?
Plus what are the cheapest brushless systems out there?
PLEASE HELP ME OUT!!
-Josh

Hmmm there is a thread like this every day it seems, lol.

what brushed motors have you run that has the speed you want?

It's hard to know what is "fast... but not too fast" to someone else.

If you are still looking to buy a budget system when the Castle Sidewinder comes out I would check into that one. It will be the cheapest combo, and sounds very good so far.

you might like the Novak XBR 10.5 (I think they have that combo) for $170-180

or the Mamba Max 4600 for about $200

Best brushless system and cheapest are opposites

They are all good but if your looking to save some money, see if anyone here has a system for sale. You can save some cash that way, and still get a higher end system.

Though they are not cheap I have 2 GTBs one in my T4 and one in my b44, no complaints.

If your on a budget I would pick between the side winder or the traxxas velineon. Both systems should be bullet proof. I don't have any experience running the velineon, but i do know that if you set up the mamba max w/out the bullet motor conectors & direct solder it then it will not cog. The traxxas system also has a sensored motor port so you could pick up the velineon esc for like $115 + a $75 novak 7.5 r leaving you w/ a great sensored package.

For racing go with the Novak GTB with the new 7.5L "Lite" motor with a 19/87 gearing.

If you plan on doing any racing get the novak. I prefer the 6.5 motor but the 7.5 looks good.

If you have 2.4 ghz get the spread spectrum gtb, if not just the gtb.

Josh-Do you race at a organized track or just a basher?
If your just out having fun and considered a basher.
STAY AWAY FROM NOVAK.

Traxxas Hands down. The system works great and is pretty much bulletproof.Great warranty and out of about 30 sold NO returns here.

I have returned so many Orange unit's Im starting to loose count and confidence in their brushless system.

Traxxas all the way.
