FT B4 keeps blowing the shock seal. WHY ???
why am i blowing my rear shock seal / o-ring. Twice now in a row my rear shock has blown all the oil out, when i rebuild the shock and replace the o-rings the old o-rings look absolutely fine, i replace them anyway.
My thoughts are that our track is quite rough at the moment and the green springs in the rear are too soft, and the shock itself is taking a pounding thus resulting in too much pressure internally on the o-ring and its letting go, so perhaps a heavier rear spring set would absorb more of that compression and take the pressure off the shock.
is my theory correct or dribble.

could be your pistons building up pressure inside. try pistons with more holes perhaps?

make sure you are getting the white clip inside the shock seated properly. sometimes if there is excess flashing on it, it will pop out....

After you fill the shock before you put the spring on make shure that the shaft goes all the way up if it stops before the shaft is allmost all inside the shock then its to full and you will blow out the bottom and even maybe the top just my 2 cent hope it helps

i was having the same problem until i made sure that all of the flashing was trimmed off before putting them in. my problem was solved after that

Are you using the red AE O-rings or the Blue MIP o-rings? If you're using the Blue MIP's and not bleeding your shocks properly, that could be the cause.

Your either overfilling the shocks with oil, or the o-rings are getting pinched upon assembly. You can try silver springs instead of the green ones. This may help but its hard to tell. If you go up one to the silver springs try dropping your oil weight by 5.
Example instead of 30w try 25w with the heavier spring.
