Mamba Max ESC - Lipo & Nimh

I have purchased a lipo battery (still waiting for it to arrive) and was wanting to know if the only setting I have to change on the esc is the cut off?
If I set the esc to Auto-lipo and plug in the nimh will it reconise that it isn't a lipo and not shut off at low voltage?

No it will not recognize that it's a nimh & it will cut off as if it was a Lipo.
It's smart, but not that smart.sorry.

Is all I need to change on the esc the cut off? Can you manually change the cut off settings without a computer?

You need a computer to use the Castle Link program to set the cutoff.
