My question is I have GTX that I bought new in 1997 and have only 2 gallons of fuel that I have passed through it and its been in storage for the last year. I finally took it out and bought new fuel tubing and a MC59 plug and it starts fine but wont run when the ignitor is removed. I dont understand why? I have reset the factory setting on the carb and replaced the glow plug, I even changed the fuel from Traxxas 20% to Blue Thunder 20%. I dont know what else to do. Can someone help? I have Dynamite .12 motor in it and it looks like it in good shape.

Just need to mess with the tuning on it to get it back in shape, you could run the idle high to keep it running while you tune.
