Traction was great last year, hands down my favorite race I have ever been to.

Tire of choice is always pink taper pins. We try to make the track HIGH bite so it should be SLICK pink taper pins. Pick your favorite pink front tire too, I think 7204 slicked down to almost nothing.
Last year slick Panther switches in clay were good, but the pinks were probably a bit better.

as with most other high bite tracks, panther switch 2.0 in the rear, and panther switch in the front (on trucks) & panther bobcat in the front (on buggy) all of which would be the clay compound.
as alot of people say they like the pink losi tires well, but i have read that the panther clay is very similar to the older losi pink compound (which i like because it makes the rear of a 2wd feel "softer")
but pretty much any nearly bald clay/pink tire would probably work in a pinch. (i will suggest not to get panther slicks - the "pre-worn" ones) another front losi tire that may work would be bk-ribs that are pre-scrub. as well as the losi bk-bar.
also not really knowing proline tires i really can't suggest anything there, but from looking at their site Inside Job, Square Fuzzie, Evil Twin all might work. but they only make these for 2wd buggy anymore (wish they still made the last two for truck)

Blockheads aren't very good on our track. Tapers are the way to go.
If you are going for rib front 2wd tires, 7202P and 7204P are the best two in my opinion.
Taper pin fronts aren't bad, but something more aggressive will probably be needed for the winter race.
BK bars only work when it is crazy dry. Tapers make much better slicks too.
Truck tires pink tapers front/rear will be best.
The proline compounds aren't as good on the wetter tracks.

What ill be running (worn down from November and December racing) which is also the same tire setup that Ryan Maifield ran at the classic this year in truck (soft/med-soft though)

The ribs are more aggessive. For the big race ya the ribs will be better if you end up running any tread at all. Last year it was slicks..so kind of hard to know what to tell you there. I think the 7202 makes the best/most steering slick tire.
The tapers aren't bad as slicks either, but you probably won't run them with much, if any, tread for the winter race. The club track right now isn't bad with the tapers though if you plan on coming for any club races.
