Brushless 13.5 gearing
 

Hi guys,

what are you guys gearing ur 13.5's at. I run a B4 and dont know what pinion to run. Just running the 81 spur. Thx guys,

I run an 81 spur on my XXX and a 26 pinion with it. You still can go up a tooth or two with it though.

Gear it really high. People are gearing them really high. At my track everyone is using 24-27t pinions. I gear mine 26/78 and it comes off cool after a 6min main. Check out this other gearing thread. http://www.rctech.net/forum/showthread.php?t=148207

there are eight of us race b4 13.5's pros at our track. we all run 78t spur gears and very between 28-32 t pinions. We all use sintered rotors.:nod:

we all gear to temp, between 145- 165 degrees

30t no problems, still cool. sinter rotor ;)

I ran 27T with 78T on mine.

best feel for me was 81/24....motor pulls off cold, so id think you could go up t 81/26....but 81/24 has the "feel"

And 2 of you run the X-6, and 2 or 3 others run the XXX (they weren't counted in his count), and one more will run the RB5 :lol:

RB-5/13.5 sintered and I ran 76/30...it would barely get warm.
