you can get 4 - 1ohm 10w resistors from radioshack, and hook them up in parralel. it will have a discharge current of about 20-30 amps depending on your battery. have some sort of a way to cool it down, or at least something none-flamable to set it on, as it gets VERY hot.

or you could hook up a gazilion lightbulbs ( tailight ones ) in series, and get 5-10 amps discharge. if you go with bulbs, get sunglasses!

cheers!

The bulbs you need are 1157's I believe, 10 bubls give you 20 amps of discharge.

12 volt 50w ceiling lamps. 5 gives 20 amp discharge. (roughly. we have a test rig for capacity checking car batteries that uses a set of these) you have to have a volt meter attatched to stop when the batteries reach 1 volt or whatever. (any lower and the accuracy of the thing means you risk killing the cells)

If you build one , make sure you buy a voltage cut off switch, or you will dead short your battery's . when I first built mine, I didn't know about the cut off and I killed a brand new battery .

I also have two Integy equalizing trays for sale in the for sale forums.
Check it out , http://www.rctech.net/forum/showthread.php?t=183840

If you were to buy one or both of the equalizer trays, I would throw in
the light bulb discharger with cut-off switch for Free .

PM me if your interested.
Thanks Mike.

10 #1157 brake light bulbs strung together is 20amps, a cutoff is nice to have, but eyeballing the lights when they get dim is good enough usually
