ROAR Submissions

I was wondering if anyone on the inside could divulge "any" information about batteries or motors submitted for approval. What has been submitted, what has been approved/denied? It is 10/10 and I believe any items approved are approved for action at the first of the month?? Curious about any lipo or brushless submissions as there were rumours various entities were putting together some packages about one or the other.

No responses from the peanut gallery, thanks.

I hope I'm not the peanut gallery... LOL

The Approval list was updated just a few days ago.. (the 4th I believe) with new battery cells that were submitted and approved.

The products go directly to the Technical Director, David Lee. You can contact him at [email protected] He forwards individual products to the inspection lab in Texas and receives reports as to specifications and legality per ROAR rules. Then, the product is placed on the approval list....

oh, forgot to talk about Motors...

Only David Lee has those motors that were submitted and approved. I'm assuming the updated list is coming soon.

Regarding LiPo and BL's - rules are being worked currently for the 2008 rule book. The Excom meeting is later this month and those items should be finalized then.

sorry for a 2nd post.

Thanks Dawn. I've checked the list numerous times and have only seen the Slingshot battery approval so I wondered what the case was :) Thanks again.
