Yes the factory drivers are running the systems. The motors and systems are being revolved from a few drivers to drivers. Kinda like trying a new tire...Making sure that everyone likes the feel, etc.
It feels different then Novak or Lrp. The sensorless to me has more top end wind to wind. In other words our 4.5 turn rev's higher the Lrp's or even the Gm/Orion. At least it feels that way on the track. I also found myself running one wind back compared to some especially on the lowest of winds. If I ran a GM/Orion 4.5 I might run the Tekin 5.5 geared slightly different but attain the same feel and speed and laptimes.

When I was using a mamba 25 esc and motor set (which is also sensorless), I experienced lots of cogging and delayed response until I changed my batteries to those with higher discharge current. So if you're gonna use lipo, best find out the motor/esc's power characteristics(in Amps) before you buy your lipo.
Also if I'm not wrong, the sensorless motors tend to be able to accept up to 3s lipos (11.1v) while the sensored systems from Novak, nosram/lrp only take up to 2s(7.4v).
