Hello,

I just purchashed my electric traxxas rustler. I was jumping it today and now the car will not drive. I hit the throttle and it just makes a grinding noise. I removed the rear gear cover and the small gear and the large gear are no longer touching. Is there something that is broken or does it need to be adjusted. thank you.

sounds like the gear mesh wasn't set right. You need a little play between your spur gear (large gear) and the pinion gear (small gear). You should be able to slide a sheet of paper between you gearing. Also check you spur gear that the teeth are stripped. Good luck hope this helps.

The exact same thing happened to my nephew with his Stampede. It seems to be a common thing with the Traxxas electric buggies and trucks, just hope you didnt destroy the spur gear like my nephew did.
