Its a good radio, its not the best but its decent, i use one and cant see myself upgrading anytime soon, the thing i like about it the most is its light and has everything i need, only thing i dont like about it is the size of the wheel, bit too big for my liking but thats personal taste. How much can you get one for?, i picked mine up bout 5 months ago for $335 AUS with pro receiver. The new dx3r is coming soon maybe wait and see what its like.

Id get the futaba fasst. Ive used a 3pk and it felt very nice in the hand and the wheel was perfect size and by the look of the 3pm it should be as light if not lighter than the spektrum.

I ran the DX3 for a while. It was ok and I had no problems with it. My only complaints were that it didn’t have exponential rates and it seemed like the transit time was kind of slow. I eventually sold it and got the Nomadio React. For only about $50 more it’s a much better radio IMO.

If you can wait the DX3R looks promising.
Looks like their a month or so from shipping.

I just got my spektrum 2.0 new w/ all the servos and all for $140. Did I buy the right thing? Or was it better to go with the 3.0 of the Futaba system for more money?

if you don't need the 3rd channel, you should be fine with the DX2.0 .

Only thing I wish is that they would up the number of models allowed in memory. Other than that, I am happy with my DX3 that I have.

IMO you're better off spending the few extra bucks for the Nomadio... All the other systems only control their own receivers, nomadio can control them all... I still have a few Spek receivers I use with my React and sensor.... BTW, React is model specific unlike the sensor which has to be switched via computer to DSM mode...

Ok so theres no difference between the 2.0 and the 3.0 besides the number of channels and the model memory?

The DX3.0 has exponential, deadband and lap timer functions which none of the DX2, DX3 or DX2.0 have.

The 3.0 is well worth the money. It has all the trims you will ever need. I sold my DX3 and got a 3PK if I had the 3.0 I would not have needed to upgrade.

I definitely like the DX3.0 and any features that are missing, I don't need. I converted mine to use a lipo pack and I've never been happier with a radio. That said, I am seriously considering the DX3R when it releases. I could really use the lefty conversion.
