xxx-4 help
Hey guys, I just got my xxx-4 in and put all the electronics in. Im having a few problems; The motor is getting hot, and it nosedives bad...Im not sure if it is normal for the front diff to be really tight and the rear to be really loose, but they are and the slipper for the rear is super light...any help is appreciated...

For the motor getting hot... what gearing and what motor?
It nose dives: I'm guessing it does this when you jump the car? 4WD buggies jump different than 2wd buggies, play with the throttle in the air, you'll get the hang of it.
front diff tight, back loose: I set mine at about the same, have you tried to re-adj. them like the manual says. Diffs have a break in period and have to be re-tightened after 1 or 2 runs.
Slipper: I'm not really sure what you mean by " slipper for the rear" and "light"

I highly recomend getting one of the clip on heat sinks. I have an integy on mine, really helped things out. Also do you have the hole above to motor cut out in the body to allow air in, that helps out a bit too. I made mine pretty big. the manual for the G+ says that for a 15T motor you should be running a 23t pinion and a 92 spur.
Under-gearing a motor will have the same affect as over-gearing it.... it will get HOT
Why don't you tighten up your Diffs if it's too loose in the back?

It won't turn like a 2wd buggy, all 4wd cars push. If you want it to turn like a 2wd you'll need a one way. Make sure nothing is binding and that you're gettign full servo travel in both directions. Tighten the diffs per the manual until they're just tight enough that the gear doesn't slip when the outdrives are held in place. Be sure your belt is loose enough, it should have about 1/4" or so deflection. Just tight enough so it doesn't skip when accelerating, if it skips a tooth or 2 under braking, no problem. As far as nosing, it sounds like you're slapping the chassis. You can't hit the jumps too hard, you have to roll into them. Esp. with the XXX-4 b/c it's so low. I also run external shock limiters (1 or 2 shock o-rings) on tracks with rough jumps.
