What is NEO 4 star ... 5.5?
 

I have a neo 4 Star and it is too much motor. Is it the same as a 5.5?

I think it is more like a 4.5.....The Neo 4* is too much motor for offroad...lol

So what should I get? Vector 5.5 or 6.5?

Medium size track and I am an experienced driver. I'd stick with the 4 star, but the esc keeps thermaling.

I'd get a 6.5 if your racing 2wd.

For 4wd: If the traction is good then the 5.5. I run both on a big track, but usually prefer the 6.5 (our tracks are fairly loose). I find it is easier to push hard as the 5.5 is still pretty friggin powerful!

If 2wd run either a 6.5 or 7.5 for the same reasons above.

Thanks for the input guys. It's for 4wd and the track has great traction. There are a few jumps after tight corners. I want good power but, my main concern is not having the thermal issues.

The 4* is a 5.5. You might want to play with the gearing a little to find a ratio that runs cooler.
