Default Vintage Radio Shack Golden Arrow Buggy

Alright, so check this out....

my friend just dropped $400 on a freakin' Radio Shack Golden Arrow Buggy on Ebay...

the car is 100% brand new, still in orig. box

I was just wondering,, does anyone have any idea what these things are worth???

I almost fell over when he told me how much he spent, .... That's how much I payed for my last 1/8th scale kit... !!!!!

Anyone know the value of this Radio Shack Shelf Trophy???

Anyone think it's worth more than $400 - cause my buddy thinks he could sell it anytime he wants to and definitely get his money back !!

i picked on up used at a garage sale for 1$. it had all its packaging, but was used. i cleaned it up, and took some good picts, and sold it for $80. i guess its a classic, like the rc10 or those vintage vehicles.

They where equal to the TRAXXAS CAT
back then!!!
I had both and I ran the snot out of them but in the end TRAXXAS lasted the longest...

Man that guy is out of it for that price

They where like $100.00 NIB when they fist dropped..

Anyone ever owned a sears LOBO ?

Default RADIO SHACK 'GOLDEN ARROW' BUGGY FOR SALE LIKE NEW IN BOX!

Hey all. Just noticed all the chatter on the Golden Arrow Buggy. I do have a Mint Condition Radio Shack RC GOLDEN ARROW BUGGY Off-Road Racer For Sale. MINT CONDITION. I bought the car new way back when and honestly, have only run it a few short times. Been sitting in the box for years!! About as new as it gets. Still in original box with all packing, remote, owners manual, etc! Also have battery pack, charger, etc. I have no idea what the car is worth & am not an RC expert by any means. The box still has the original Radio Shack price tag on it: $119.95 what I paid new. You guys would know the proper value more than I & just feel someone could be enjoying this popular car rather than it sit in my closet. Am sure it would make a nice starter RC for the kids or RC collector.
Please email all reasonable offers ASAP! Happy to respond.

> ALSO Have Mint Radio Shack RC TIGER that I bought at the same time as the Golden Arrow. Digital-Proportional Off-Road Racer. same size as the Golden Arow, Bought new the same time. Believe the Tiger was around $50-$70 new. ALSO in original box with all packing, remote, owners manual, etc! With battery pack, charger, etc.

BOTH RACERS IN MINT CONDITION, BOXES in GREAT CONDITION!
EMAIL ANY QUESTIONS - HAPPY TO RESPOND!

Please email tp: [email protected]
FEEL FREE TO MAKE AN OFFER YOU ARE COMFORTABLE WITH!
I WILL SELL ONE OR BOTH RACERS TO FIRST REASONABLE OFFER! Thanks. -R

Apparently it's worth $400. Like Beanie bears and anything else collectible its worth as much as the next buyer is willing to pay.

That auction was pulled, so it musta been some sort of scam.

And someone will keep paying the price looking to turn it back over at a later date, at least until people get it into their thick skulls that there were hundreds of thousands of these produced and they have the reasonable resale value of a Yugo.

This only goes to prove the old P.T. Barnum saying was right,

I don't know what they are truly worth. The saying goes, the value of an object is as much as what people are willing to pay for.

The golden arrow was an awesome vehicle. It was actually a good basher car that rivaled some of the Tamiyas back then. It didn't compete nearly on the same level as the RC10, but it was a great car, I have lots of memories of it. Weren't there a similar model called the "Red Arrow?"

I'd be falling over too if I paid $400 for it. Maybe for nostalgia and collectors, it's not much...

I had a LOBO II. It was the smaller version.

I also had a golden arrow. It was tough as nails. I beat the crap out of that thing and it ran until I got tired of it and moved on.
