Default What batteries do off road guy's prefer, EP / WC

I am just wondering if off road racers had a preference on what batteries they like to use, the newer black EP 4200 cells or the blue WC 4200 cells??

Thanks
Brian

EP all the way. The are strong on the track and are lasting a lot longer then the WC cells. Also less venting and blown cells.

I've seen the EPs used by others and they seem really good.

I personally have only used the IBs and haven't had any issues with them yet.

If I had to buy some today, I'd try the EPs because they are apparently very durable...

My buddy just blew up his WC 4200 battery a few minutes ago. All six cells came apart. They said one cell hit the ceiling, the rest were all over the floor. One of our buddies charged the battery with his ICE. The charger cut off at the temperature of 116. He unhooked the battery and set it on a piece of foam with cutouts and a fan under it for cooling. 15 minutes later the battery EXPLODED. lol. They don't know what caused it to blow, but he is short one battery now. HeHe

IB cells, you just have to take care of them, and then you won't have proplems like blowing up.

i would get the ep cells.....they are much more durable....it does not matter how you care for the ib cells they will have problems.....it is only a matter on time....

ep is the way to go....

Yup. I friend of mine had a brand new WC pack with a bad cell yesterday. I got a deal on some left over WC's and half of the cells were duds right out of the box. It wasn't such a great deal after I culled out all the duds.
