There are too many varibles in track size, how technical it is, driver skill, track bite, etc....you see where I am going with this. Anyway 6000 will be real close for 30 minutes on most tracks with average skill racers, but to make sure, stick an 8000 mah li-po in there.

The Watermelon Classic in Aiken, SC on 7/27/08 has been a long traditional and prestigious race for years with Novak power sweeping the top 3 in the 30 minute 1/10th stadium truck main.

Looks like there is yet another truck to pick from. If it is as durable as the other academy cars then it might be a great truck for this class out of the box.

Last year we ran a 20 minute main in stock brushless truck with 4200 packs and they easily made it! So in theory a 6000 lipo wouldn't even break a sweat at 20 minutes... Btw, it was awesome to race for 20 minutes!

There is alot of variables involved from track size/type to motor to gearing to driver ability that makes a difference in run times.

We race on mainly big 1/8th scale size tracks including the Farm where this years IFMAR 1/8th scale Buggy Worlds Championship is held. 7.5 motor and higher will run for 30 minutes with the less motor (higher number) used the longer the run time. In fact some of the guys were getting 30+ minutes with a 10.5 motor using a 4800 mah li-po.

I have been to RC Pro Series races up in the Northeast where the racers using 10.5 motors using 5000 mah batteries were changing batteries in a 30 minute race. So it varies depending on the variables.

Looks like we have a Full "A" main of 1/10th scale stadium trucks here in Alvarado, Texas for the RC Pro Series Nats. Looks like maybe 4 of them are electric to race in the 45 minute "A" main.

Monday was track building day in the Diamond W Arena where the event is to be held.

The RC Pro Series International Final in Alvarado, TX was ran with racers from numerous countries qualified to compete in the finals.

Here are the top 5 1/10th scale 2wd Truck Class results after a grueling 45 minute main with 18 trucks starting the "A" main:

Team Novak Racer Dennis Allison dominated the event by TQing and winning with Team Novak Driver Tim Hepler finishing 2nd. Both made battery swaps at the halfway point in the race.



Team Novak's Dennis Allison and Tim Hepler finished 1-2 in the RC Pro Series Points with both racers from the East Region.



Dennis used a Novak GTB with a Novak 8.5 motor and Tim used a Novak GTB with a Novak 10.5 motor during the 45 minute race!

45 minutes of racing my be a little tough on other brands of electronics....I did not even use a fan on my Novak GTB for the 45 minute race!!!!

I would like to thank Ryan Cavalieri for the tire and motor selection help...Holeshots/Edges with the Novak 10.5 motor was the right choice for me with slower being faster with changing the 7.5 for a 10.5 motor!

It was a FUN track to race on too!
