Congratulations to all 5 trucks having Novak Brushless power for the season of 20 minute electric 2wd truck racing!
Actually the racers pictured won races with both AE and Losi trucks. AE won 5 races and Losi won 3 of the 8 races. Both are great trucks with a good racer can win with either truck that all comes down to driver preference on which truck to use.
The one common thing is all use Novak Electronics brushless power to endure 20 minute electric races!
Hopefully it is a sign of the future with this class getting bigger at the end of the series with some of the best racers on the east coast joining the class like the Nats earlier this year with some of the best RC racers in the country racing in the 20 minute Li-Po/Brushless Truck Class.
The future looks bright for electric racing to comeback with li-po and brushless!
i read in a magazine that many drivers where wiring up two 4800 packs to make 20 minutes, and to their surprise with 6.5s the 4800 made the 20 minutes, is this possible?

Yes depending on the track size and type. You are going to use more battery for high bite fast tracks than technical tight tracks like the Nats had. A big track like the Farm will take more battery even though a racer did finish 3rd there this weekend using a Novak GTB with a 8.5 motor and a 4800 mah Orion li-po battery. He said he went around 30 minutes in practice with the same set up.
Less motor will give more run time if geared right.
I wonder how long a 13.5 and a 8000 mah li-po will go??? 1 1/2 to 2 hours??
If you know how to tune & set up a car then there is nothing wrong w/ running a lighter car. However, if these becomes an actual class then I'm sure the standard weight for it will be the same as the current 2wd environment.
I would rather just run a setup that lets me practice for an hour straight w/out changing packs. I mean, the trucks w/ the right setup aren't going to be any slower then the other trucks out there. However, an extra hour of practice time is well worth it to me.
