Default Novak vs. lrp X-11 brushless combos

I am looking at getting a brushless motor system for my T4 and was wondering what you all thought about Novak and LRP. Difference between sensored and sensorless? Experience with one or both? any info would be great.

The Novak and LRP are both sensored systems. I have had a sensorless Mamba Max system in the past and that thing would cog or hesitate every now and then and was extremely annoying.

Haven't run the LRP B/L, but I've got three Novak systems. I choose to support Novak because they pioneered brushless in 1/10th scale racing, they have a head start on the technology and of course their customer service is awesome. The fact is, every other company didn't have the balls to push the technology to the next level, it appears to me that they watched and waited to see if Novak would fail, then jumped in after the market had been established.

I'm not knocking LRP quality though, their stuff must be pretty good to win the Cactus in 100 degree temps.

are you sure you have your facts straight?

LRP have been playing with brushless for 1/10th since '02

In the US, Novak had b/l on the market at least 1 1/2 years if not two years before LRP. Orion has been playing with it since 02 but nothing on the market today, bottom line is Novak made it available to me a long time before anyone else.

This summer I'll be running A Losi XXX-T.
I've ran LRP and Novak.
And would never go back to LRP.
Novak has all you need in speed from 13.5 TO THE 3.5.
And all the speed variety in the same compatibility you could ask for.
Been Running the GTB for a year or better and it hasn't missed a lick. It has all the custom profiles you can ask for.
Novak has the very best tech support and service.
Novak is a company proactive in the Hobby and truly committed to its customers offering the best products and warranty in the industry.
This company extends efforts to there customers they are a part of there customers. Its obvious that I like and respect Novak for the efforts they extend to there customers and a the support they offer on RC/tech.
They are a true roll model that all companies should follow and learn from.
They are for the customer and the hobby. The dollar comes last.

Now that said, I could bash LRP. Yet They are good to. Just not as good to my experience. And would recommend running Novak motors with Novak ESC's.
And Same goes for LRP. I really don't think they are as compatible as the hype?
Now that you know how I feel about Novak.
Heres where it gets really good.
I recently purchased a Mamba Max 7700. I want to put it through the Ole' honest personal test. Where I've been racing I couldn't run one to try out.
I haven't ran it yet but will be in 2 weeks.
I will say this from reading the owners manual programing it to bash is a cinch.
The easiest to plug and program I've seen.

But its off to a bad start for me. You have to have a computer to phase out reverse.
The out of the box ready to go program has reverse. And you need a computer to take it out. Now I'm sure thats for bashers. Which is fine. I'm just not sure how things will work out taking my computer to the dirt track.
One good thing I'll have personal tech support from 2 castle Creation employees.
So will mamba win my support? We'll see.
But to pull me away from Novak? They have there work ahead of them.
Either way Cant wait to try the Tekin.
So in short Novak. Yet try them all. The pros and cons will drive you crazy.
Experiences are the best teachers. The only way to be sure which is better for you is to try them all.

You aren't lying. Novaks tech support is unbelievable, even helping me solve a problem with another competitors system! If Novak is still around, and as long as I race R/C cars, it will be with a Novak system.

Amen There will always be a Novak in my pit box. Gotta have something to rely on.
I bet in the off road scene Novak as smooth as the throttle response is would be awesome.
I got a chance to read some more of the Mamba max hand book and I found out you can set some of the profiles with out the computer so if any one wants to know thats a plus at the track.
