my os vz-b (non turbo) eats plugs after 1 tank almost every plug tested died.
I´m running this in a xb8, using graupner 25% and orcan 25%fuel,whereas the graupner fuel is specially designed for os engines, orcan was only tested.

plugs were os 8,a3,a5 some other brands and heat ranges. all died quickly.

there is no visible damage to the coil, not even an anormal colouration.

the connecting rod bushing seems fine, no feelable play so far.

please help me, I don´t know what to do anymore.

i dont know much but all i got to say is stop spending your freakin money on glow plugs there pretty expensive if you ask me.

Is the button pitted? How about the top of the piston? How long have you been running the engine?

Lean.

Are you running the tank dry every time? If so, when it gets low on fuel it'll start to lean out right on the last few drops of fuel.

Are there shims under the head button? Checking your temps with a temp gun?

You should see a stream of smoke coming the from exhaust at all times.

bottom end lean i'd guess. It probably isn't even running hot. But if the bottoms over lean you'll do plugs every run... I know .. I've done it

The engines do not run lean long enough at the end of the tank to cause this to happen. It is something else like not having enough shims for the amount of nitro or tuning the motor too lean.

open the motor and make sure to clean it out. Also check your rear bearing.

what kind of glow charger are you using? If you use the power panel kind make sure its pluigged into the yellow terminal side not the red and black terminal side or youll be sending 12v though that 1.5 volt plug...!!!

i´m using a 1,2 v sub-c batterie for the glow charger.

the connecting rod bearing seems fine, how to check the rear bearings?

sounds like your rod has slop in it. i had a picco xp that shot glow plugs for a whole weekend and come to find out the rod was stretched.

is such a rod slop feelable? mine seems good, but since I´m a nitro rookie maybe I overlooked something.

try putting a extra washer on the glow plug

take the backplate off then work the piston up and down you will notice play the closer it gets to TDC (Top Dead Center). how much fuel have you run thru you engine?
